Production status on the order page

Open the order in Shopify admin and see exactly where production stands.

Last updated

Someone asks “where’s my order?” and the answer used to mean opening a second tool, or asking ops directly. Now it’s on the order page you already have open.

Every line item that created a manufacturing order shows its status right there: draft, waiting, in progress, on hold, or completed, with the reason attached if it’s on hold. One screen, the same one you were already using.

This is the same status a manufacturing order carries everywhere else in Orderkraft, so what a support agent sees on the order page is exactly what’s true on the production floor. Not a synced copy. The same record.

It works the same way regardless of which of the three shapes created the manufacturing order. Furniture built from a bill of materials, an embroidered towel, and a customer-configured bracelet all show up the same way.

Questions

Do I need to leave Shopify admin to check production status?
No. It shows directly on the order page, next to everything else you already look at for that order.
Does this only work for bill-of-materials products?
No. Any line item with a manufacturing order shows its status here, whether it's made-to-order, personalised, or built-on-the-fly. Same view either way.
What statuses will I see?
Draft, waiting, in progress, on hold, and completed, the same status a manufacturing order carries everywhere else in Orderkraft, including holds with their reason.
