Show lead times on your storefront

The last optional setup step is the most customer-facing one. Once a product has a production time, you can show that on the product page so customers see the realistic shipping window before they buy. It’s not glamorous, but it cuts down on “where’s my order” emails a lot.

What customers see

A line near the product price that reads like one of these:

Made to order / ships in 5 days

Made to order / ships in 5 - 7 days

The text uses your product’s production time range. If min and max are the same, it shows a single number. Otherwise it shows the range.

The block only renders for products that you’ve flagged as made-to-order in Orderkraft. Regular products show nothing, so you don’t have to manage two versions of your product page.

How to add it

Orderkraft links you straight to the Shopify theme editor with the block ready to drop in:

  1. Open Orderkraft and finish the setup checklist down to the Activate the theme UI extension step.
  2. Click Add to theme. This opens your theme editor with the lead time block pre-selected.
  3. Drag the block to wherever it makes sense on the product page. Most merchants put it right under the price or near the Buy button.
  4. Click Save in the theme editor.

If you’d rather add it manually:

  1. In your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Click Customize on the theme you want to edit.
  3. Open a product template.
  4. Click Add block in the main product section.
  5. Pick Lead Time Block from the Orderkraft section.
  6. Save.

Where it can go

The block targets the product page only. You can place it anywhere inside the main product section: under the title, near the price, below the variant picker, wherever it fits your design.

It’s a Shopify theme app block, so it respects your theme’s typography and spacing. You can wrap it in your own styling if you want it to look different from your theme defaults.

Multiple themes

You’ll need to add the block once per theme. If you switch themes or duplicate one for a sale, the block doesn’t come along automatically. Re-add it on the new theme.

You’re done

That’s the last setup step. From here you’re using Orderkraft. New made-to-order products you set up will pick up everything you’ve configured automatically, including the lead time block on the storefront and the split-shipment behavior at checkout.

If you want to come back and change settings later, everything lives in the Settings section in Orderkraft.
